Full-time Lower Elementary Lead Teacher & Full-time, Grade 4 Lead Teacher
Mill Falls Charter School is seeking Montessori educators with a desire to teach in public, multi-age, heterogeneous classrooms where the Montessori method will be aligned with the Common Core State Standards. Ideal candidates will have a commitment to Montessori education in a public setting, knowledge of best practices and be trained in the Montessori method.
Qualifications:
- Montessori Elementary certification from an accredited program preferred.
- A demonstrated willingness and ability to implement educational best practices in conjunction with the Montessori curriculum and Common Core State Standards.
- Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and parents.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to plan lessons and keep progress records on students according to individual styles and aptitudes
- Strong leadership and classroom management skills.
- Appreciation for diversity including students with learning disabilities and those from diverse families and socio-economic situations.
- An open-mind and sense of humor.
- NH teacher certification or willingness to obtain NH certification.

About Us: Mill Falls Charter School is the first public Montessori Charter School in New Hampshire. The school opened in Manchester, New Hampshire in the fall of 2012, with kindergarten and lower elementary students in multi-age classrooms. In 2013/14 the school will offer grades K-4. Mill Falls will expand yearly until we reach full capacity, serving lower and upper elementary students from K-6th grade.

Public Montessori Assistant Teacher
Mill Falls Charter School is seeking assistant teacher that supports the work of the classroom/lead teacher by assisting in the preparation and maintenance of our public Montessori school’s learning environment. Working in collaboration with the lead teacher, the assistant teacher is responsible for the academic, personal and social achievement, safety and physical well being of the children under her/his supervision. Assistant teachers must possess a high level of professionalism and desire to expand one’s abilities in the education field.
Position Type: 7 hours per day
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- A demonstrated willingness to collaboratively work alongside a trained Montessori teacher
- Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to working with colleagues, administrators, and parents
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Appreciation for students with learning differences as well as for students from diverse family and socio-economic situations
- An open-mind and sense of humor
